Tom Hirota, a friend of mine invited me to come check out his new store opening on Melrose mid December (corner of Spaulding and Melrose). The name of the brand and store being Joy Rich, is going to be and instant hit. Carrying an eclectic mix of Japanese, European, and American brands Joy Rich will definitely catch the attention of the industry. The 1980's Las Vegas style neon sign coupled with the stores core modern design is gonna set a new standard on Melrose.. I'm going to be designing the front window display so come December be on the look...

I've been away from reality for almost a week now.. going to Raleigh N.C. for Thanksgiving.. From college football madness, including barbecued oysters and a score of 0-37, to drinking peach moonshine on the golf course at 10:00 in the morning, the week was far from ordinary.. I was able to capture a few shots to fill in the blanks.. Now, back to the grind.

So the fashion show last weekend went off.. We packed the venue and were able to get everyone lost on the way to the show in South Central, LA. Our walk on a beach themed show turned into a walk in South Central.. Here are a few pics from the event with more on the way.. Note the UNIF x Stampd' LA kicks in a few of the pics!! A few nights ago Eric brought over a few of his friends to my pad after a night out.. Tom, the UNiF distributor in Japan, and Junko a Japanese buyer were introduced to Stampd' LA first hand.. They took a sneak peak at some of the new kicks as well as the Stampd' LA bandana collection.. Surprisingly they had both already seen the kicks in Fred Segal as well as customized online. Junko took home the pastel Indian print bandana and talked about it on her blog, which is exclusive to magazines and stylists so I took a few screen shots..

Eric from Unif and I went searching through the garment district yesterday in search of dope threads.. We were able to come up on a few finds and buy some grub from an OG street vendor..
